C300 getting price drop or upgrade after December 31?

there's a promotion... I believe if you've purchased a C300 in the past or before that date... they'll give you a $3,000 credit towards a C500...

Yeah, I'm looking at Texas Media Systems website as well right now. Question is, why is there a promotion. Camera seems to be doing well...

I think the best way to look at it is that Canon is getting aggressive. Right when they were announced, we were & are experiencing an increase in orders. Most are people, that over the last few months, have been shooting with the C300 on a few jobs and now want to get one. The $1000 rebate, 0% financing, $900 off the Cineprimes, and $3000 off a C500 for owners of a C300, all are contributing to a very successful line of cameras & lenses.

I'll concur with Jim's sentiments on C300 business.

The C300 $1000 instant rebate combined with the 0% 2 Year Lease free financing has been great for business.

Average daily rental rate for a C300 is $500, compared to the 0% monthly on the 2 year 0% is only $625. Its hard to beat free financing.

Also don't forget about the IRS Section 179 deduction this year. We see a lot of self-employed business owners eliminate taxable profits using Section 179 capital business equipment purchases.

$1 buyout leases typically can be deducted the same as an outright purchase in the year that the equipment was put into service. Section 179 deductions are very compelling if you made any money this year.
