Canon has been active in the UK with presentations at several dealers over the past few days.

Today l spent about three hours playing with and chatting about the C300.

I was impressed. Very light to hold, front on looks smaller than a DLSR.

OK no camera is perfect and there are a couple of minor issues with the C300, BUT what l saw was good. very very good.

Straight out of the camera, recorded to CF card then play back HMDI to 50" screen from camera just Fab.

Skin tones really good and so natural.

Highlights and dark areas excellent.

But the killer for me was panning at 25p or 24p no absolutely no jittering, as smooth as silk. Fantastic what l always wanted.

yeah, that´s physically not possible. Watch a 35mm movie...jittering all over the place (in the background). That should be no different on all progressive cams.
What are "the minor issues" you talk about?

Hi what l was trying to say is that there's no lag in the pan's due to slow refresh rates of the sensor and no jello. The sensor freshers very very fast as give a very clean image.
The minor grip was that the XLR connections where attached to the monitor screen, would have been nice is separate and the screen panel looked a little suspect but was told these
were pre productions models and things will be beefed up.
