That topic will pop up soon or later.... Any suggestion of a practical over the shoulder camera bag that would accommodate a C300 with grip, handle and monitor/audio unit installed, 4 or 5 lenses and a few gimmicks. I already have a LowePro 250AW rolling case which is great for travel and airport but I have to break the C300 apart to fit it in.

Thanks.

I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately (as the date of my C300 arrival slowly approaches), and it's a tough call. I travel a lot with my gear, so being able to have my camera and lenses with me as a carry-on is an absolute necessity, at the expense of breaking it down if needed. Based on the size and shape of camera bags I've been looking at, it looks like that's a compromise I'm going to have to make in order to stay carry-on legal, especially for overseas travel. So I've decided that the Pelican 1510 with dividers instead of foam will probably be the best solution for me. I've pretty much accepted that I'll have to take the monitor and top handle off for travel, but by doing so I'll have a lot more room for a variety of lenses and accessories like a TVLogic 5.6" monitor, extra batteries, an extra charger, noga arms, CF cards + reader, etc, etc.

Granted, the Pelican is definitely not a shoulder bag, but I'm not often hiking with my gear. If I do, I've got a LowePro backback that will hold a basic C300 package (broken down, of course) with maybe two or three lenses and some bits and bobs.

Interested to hear other's plans for storage and protection of their C300 packages!
