C200: C200 SD Slot Issues

Anyone having odd issues with their C200 SD Slots? It started with the camera not powering on if I didn't have a SD Card inserted, Now I have to have the Door up for the camera to even power on. It's so weird. The left slot no longer reads and on the right slot, the card won't even go in, I've looked inside and nothing is there. its like locked or something.

I've turned off SD recording in the menu's and this did not fix it.

I found that if the SD door is open, the card won't load/read/do anything....so I closed the door and presto, everything cool....

I haven't seen anything like this. Have you tried a full reset of the camera? It's kind of generic troubleshooting but Canon will tell you to do that if you call them...and it's worth trying before you send the camera in to be checked out.

No problems here with SD card slots.

No problems here either, have worked 100% since day one.

Turns out my kid put a penny in the right SD Slot, Problem Solved :laugh:
