C200: C200 Review

Hey Armando,
Nice. What's the make of the top plate and monitor support? Thanks.

Thanks, Armando.
I didn't get the workaround for 10bit 4:2:2 using DaVinci Resolve. Is it that you get 10bit 4:2:2 from the RAW files only in post?

I guess he just means transcoding after the fact. But you can of course do this with any software that supports .crm.

It won't help you save disk space at the time of recording, but if you shoot a lot it might make sense to create new 4k 10-bit masters for archival, if you feel that format is good enough.

EDIT: thing to remember though, is that .crm is 12-bit raw and comes in at around 1000-1100 Mbit/s where ProRes HQ would be about 750 Mbit/s. So it's not like you save tons and tons of space. With normal ProRes 422 you'd be at about 500 Mbit, so that's more of a save.

SmallRig makes a decent sun hood for the LCD. https://bit.ly/2lj12bm
And Expert Shield makes a great Anti Glare Protector. http://shop.expertshield.com/Canon_C200_Anti-Glare

Just adding, I have this sun hood and it works great and I wish I had bought some kind of screen protector for the LCD because it is a micro scratch magnet.

I agree with this review 100%, Armando, nice work. For run and gunners or one man bands, I think this is really the best camera you can get.
