Hi Guys,

Any help would be appreciated :crybaby:

I have just come off a days shoot and one of our CFAST cards (AngelBird 240gb) will not mount at all, have tried on 2 different Mac's and tried 2 different card c-fast readers.

I can see the footage playback in the camera, any clues as to how I can safely get the footage off the card at this point?

Is there a way to download from the camera, I'm pretty desperate to find a solution as edit on hold... help :(

Many Thanks!
Cane

If all else fails, output everything to an external recorder (if possible) and record the signal.

Thanks for the tip Norbro

It took about 30 times of seating and un-seatng the card, but i managed to push the card in hard and it mounted finally.

Scary stuff, I have had these issues with Angelbird cards not mounting or showing up a few times now but this time it was getting serious.

The Sansdisk ones have been flawless...

Not sure if you can get a hold of the EgoDisk cards but here in the States they are $299.00 for 256GB (34 minutes of CRL) and have been flawless for us, I have half a dozen of them. What you are going through sounds stressful, I would get some EgoDisks if you can?

Good that you're finally able to get the footage of the card, but i would still advice you to contact mail@angelbird.com to get to the hart of this matter.
I have no experience with the 240GB cards but i have not had this experience with their 256GB card its a solid performer.
If the camera is able to read and write to the card it seems to me that the fault lies elsewhere but really strange that the other cards do work and this one did not...

Definitely contact Anglebird and let them know what readers didn't work. The fact the camera could write and read the card is a good sign. What card readers did you try? Would be good to know.
