Shooting with them.
I couldn't believe how many I saw. I was trying to step up to the C100 and leave 5D Mark III in the dust and have 1 up on competition, I was wrong. Everyone has one now.. Haha.

But look at the specs! The C100 only captures 8bit AVCHD! It will never catch on! Nobody will ever buy such a crippled camera! The RED Scarlet is so superior in every way! /sarcasm.

Own a Scarlet and a C100. I love both of them. I definitely agree that they are used for completely different things. I honestly use the C100 more. Its light weight, excellent in low light and perfect for live musical events. On the other hand, when I shoot higher end production shoots I go right for the Scarlet. When the production value is right where it needs to be to "use that camera in the way it should be used"...it excels. On the other hand...when you stick a Scarlet at a live event when production conditions are less than adequate, the C100 wins every time.

Both great tools. Looking forward to the Dragon conversion to see if the Scarlet can compete in some of the conditions that the C100 excels at.

I never use my AVCHD, I use my Ninja 2 and love it..422 10 bit all day!

Just to note...the Ninja 2 does not achieve 10 bit footage from the C100. Though the Ninja does record it at 10 bit 422...the signal that is coming out of the HDMI is only 8 bit...so its not true 10 bit. That said...I run the same rig and could not be happier. I think it looks fantastic and is a lot of fun to color grade.

Can't wait until its done in camera though.
