C100: C100 Working with AVCHD in Snow Leopard

I have been working with AVCHD stuff for years with my Panasonics but I just upgraded to OS 10.8 from 10.6 and snow leopard takes the files and combines them into one. This is great one one hand because now I can view my files in Quicktime and Premiere will read the file structure just fine but I tested out what would happen if I move the files to a different folder and Premiere cannot relink the project up. Is there an easy workflow change to make? (besides transcoding)

if you don't want to transcode you don't have to. premiere is drag and drop, it doesn't care about folder structure so long as it knows where the file is. if you move around the folder it will just ask where the file went and you can point it to where you moved it to. it will ask automatically, or you can just right click the offline file and select re link.

Darren, Premiere cannot recognize the file structure if you move the original "private" file to another location. It does in OS 10.6 but not now. I think the best way to deal with this is to just option click and "show package contents" 3 times and then copy the "stream" folder onto where you want to be. I think Premiere can see the file structure there, I was just wondering if there was a better way, or a way to allow OS 10.8 to see the folder structure from the outset.
