Would really luv to see some zacuto style C100 vs 1DX video quality comparisons...hopefully before Christmas:) Anyone have test footage links they can share?

Bloom prefers it to c300.

That's not how I interpreted his opinion. He prefers it over the 5D3, but the C300 has become his go to camera for 90 percent of his work.

The 1Dx and the 5D3 is indistinguishable by most people that work in post house's, in fact the 5D3 responds to sharpening better than the 1Dx.. apparently!! :)

There is no way I would choose the 1Dx over the c300, but I would also choose the C300 over the 1DC too... the C300 is a great piece of kit IMO of coarse :cheesy:

""""" What I didn’t expect was how much I actually preferred the 1DX’s image for this type of filming to the C300. It just seems…more filmic. Hard to put my finger on what it is…I love my C300 more than any other camera I own and use it for everything, but the look of the 1DX was so organic I was just blown away."""""

Probably true unless they're viewing an AB test but I wouldn't trade even my 5D2 for a 5D3 in a million years, the image is simply too soft. True, MUCH better noise handling in low light but I rarely shoot night scenes. And James Miller's quick test shows the night and day improvement of the 1Dx over the 5D3

What I'd REALLY like to see, and the reason for this post, is an identical comparison between the 1DX and C1 or C300 at 1920p. Especially the C100, since they're similar price points. How different is the captured video in terms of sharpness and dynamic range? I've read elsewhere that there is also the possibility of getting an uncompressed signal out of the C100, but this feature is not enabled on the release version.

Since I bought the 5D3, my MkII has hardly seen daylight. The 5D3 after post sharpening renders a beautiful image... don't be fooled by the swathes of people who read forums and regurgitate the rhetoric of others without actually ever using the camera.

The mkIII is enormously improved upon the 5DII for several reasons.

Avro: Yep, that was the article and I stick my original comment, I don't think PBloom would give up the C300 for the 1DX... "is the way I interpret it" regardless of how "organic" it looks..
