C100 price

Hi, wondering if anyone has inquired about pricing of C100 with their local dealers, and, if so, what they said.

Here's a quote from Lemac in Sydney:

-- Taking orders for late November delivery
-- Price: AU$6734, including GST

B&H reports 30 November availability, with no price yet listed.

In comparison, a search for a brand-new C300 on shopbot.com.au is reporting cheapest (grey market) price of AU$11,190.

Only recently saw C300s start to show up on eBay -- cheapest is $12,522 (used) with warranty.

Edit (25 September): saw a brand-new C300 go on eBay two days ago for US$9,600, with one year warranty.

One of the Canon product managers at IBC told me it's going to be around €5600,- ex VAT. That's around $7000,-

I think that price is reasonable over 7K is ridiculous imho.

guys what is the cheapest EU price for c300? i wonder if some one knows about EU grey market sites? and what exactly does it means grey market?

And for the record you'll be SOL with Canon if you need a repair - even if you're willing to pay Canon Aus will not touch it and rightfully so IMO.

Will have an another authorised dealer price from Aus up today.

I find prices in Australia very good.
Shame about C100 not having 1080 50P..
Shame about Canon 1d-C 4K Camera not having 4:2:2 recording in 2K.....WHY NOT??
