C100: C100 / NINJA2 / DNxHD snafus

I'm working on a documentary that was shot using a rented c300 for the first leg. Now I'm onto the next leg with my purchased C100/NINJA2 combo. Like the footage a lot (and the color, right out of the box, seems warmer than the c300 which I like).

But I seem to have some issues with the reliability of the footage and filming going to DNxHD on the NINJA. One issue, of the NINJA stopping recording in the middle of an interview, seemed to be rectified with a firmware upgrade for the NINJA.

The other problem that just surfaced when logging and reviewing the clips is what seems like a file being corrupted. It stops playing in AVID with a weird error message. So I re-transcode the file, and it plays through, but at that same point, I get a momentary flash in the video.

This makes me nervous.
Has anyone had experience (good or bad) with this combination of workflow (c100-ninja2-DNxHD-AVID)?

Thanks,

Are you using SSD or HDD for recording? SSD is more reliable. I've recorded over 10 hours of footage and never had a single glitch.

You mentioned that you have to "re-transcode" in Avid, the files are already DNxHD and it should be ingested directly.

I'm using SSDs, Sandisk.

The only reason I transcoded was because when I did a consolidate on that clip, it gave an error message. Someone on creative cow suggested I try transcoding the same file to see if it fixed it. It fixed it partially--no error message but then there was a disturbing quick video flash at that same point in the clip.
