For anyone out there just getting a Ninja Blade or Ninja 2 for their C100, save yourself a lot of grief and get a Cinevate Universal Accessory Mount - http://www.cinevate.com/store2/universal-accessory-mount.html

*Here's the B&H link for less shipping costs than Cinevate's store - http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...S000030_UNIVERSAL_ACCESSORY_1_4_20_MOUNT.html

After running around last week at NAB with all sorts of articulating arms, cold shoe adapters, and anything else that would keep the Ninja from wobbling around, I took a cue from Dan Chung and just got one of these Cinevate mounts, and it's night and day. It fits snugly right over the EVF and doesn't move.

Also if you're looking for a thin HDMI cable, Paralinx makes an 18" that is perfect length. http://www.paralinx.net/store/ultra-thin-hdmi-cable

thanks for the head up. Man, shipping cost is almost the same as the cost of the mount itself. Turn out nearly $60 for this tiny bit mount.

Interesting. I've been looking for a c100/ninja blade solution and was about to settle on the zacuto zamerican small arm and the zicromount III. this set up you have certainly looks compact and manageable, but I have two questions:

1) does the ninja blade sitting where you have it block access to any buttons?
2) it doesn't look like there is much articulation options, in case of needing to view the screen from below, for example.

I should add that I already have the Zacuto C100 studio baseplate, so the zamerican arm is easily attachable.

Thanks for this info! I just purchased the Cinevate mount with the Wooden Camera cheese plate. This works very nicely attached to the left side of the cheese plate (LCD side) with my Zacuto EVF.

Hey - glad you're considering this little Cineate mount. I've been using it regularly for both run and gun and interview shooting, and it's pretty great. No buttons are blocked. If you need to change the articulation, you can place the Ninja to the right or left of the camera, or as I do for stand-up interviews, unscrew the cinevate from the Ninja, and re-attach it to the bottom of the Ninja, so it sits high above me and the screen points down. Eventually when the Ninja Blade has an option to flip the screen (like the older Ninja 2), you won't need to unscrew the arm for that adjustment.

Cheers -

Just got back from a lengthy shoot that put it through its paces.. Had to chime in and say the cinevate arm worked extremely with my c100/blade combo. The arm is surprisingly robust and has the feel of a much more expensive part. Extremely pleased with how secure the monitor is compared to the amount of torque(very little) required to lock it in place, quite the find at 35 dollars!!! If you are on on the fence about this little gem of a product I wouldn't hesitate.

Thanks again for the tip!
