C100: C100/Ninja 2 Nature film "Their Last Days"

Hope it works out for you. Let us know what you think and post a link to your footage! I'm glad many here are finding it useful for their C100's.

This video inspired me to go out and shoot yesterday! If you don't mind me asking, what time of the day were you shooting at? Love those dramatic lighting shots!

Mostly at the crack of dawn! In the fall you get the mist rising at dawn when the water is warmer then the air. 20-30 minutes after dawn and it's all over. Other shots are later in the day but I assume you mean the misty water stuff.

Paul & others, are you still using the WIDE PF profile that Paul created? I'm getting ready to use a rented C100 Mark II tomorrow (mine will arrive next week! woo!).

Hi Brandon,
Sorry I didnt see this sooner. Yes, I am still using it as I originally set it up. I cant say if it is still good for use on a newer C100 MKII however. It will probably have to be tested on the Mark II and compared to the regular WIDE DR setting to see if the results are pleasing on a variety of subject matter. If you get a chance to do that with your when it arrives, please post your findings here as I'm sure others will be curious (I know I am!) as to how the Mark II in WIDE DR loos compared to the WIDE PF settings.

Thanks and good luck!

I have the C100 mark II. Mine showed up a week ago, and I absolutely love the upgrades. I feel with the EVF I can now truly run and gun. I'm going to try out your profile, Paul, but I do think there is a color differnce between the Mark I and Mark II, with the Mark I leaning much warmer. Would this have any effect on your profile? I no longer have my original C100 for comparisons.

Well on the C100 Mark 1 I felt the WIDE DR profile was too greenish blue. Thus I created this profile to compensate for that. If you think the Mark II is even less warm, than it may indeed be just what the Dr ordered! Again, this was based around the WIDE DR profile. So copy that to an available open slot, then make the changes I suggested before to the color matrix and see how it looks.

I hope I can get Wide PF working on the MK II. I've been using it almost exclusively on the MK I since Paul shared it with us in 2013.

Paul - how are you finding yr profile Wide DR PF with the latest C100 Firmware? Or was the colour issue more C300.

Since the latest firmware I've pretty much stuck to the stock Wide DR.

I hate to say I havent updated to the new firmware! So it still works great on my C100 MK1. Not sure I would pay the money to update it at this point. Will probably just be getting a new camera instead. Waiting to see if Canon offers a C100 type of camera with 4K. If not, I started as a SONY camera guy and can easily see switching to the FS7 next. My C100 is still making me lots of money on a weekly basis and no one is really clamoring for 4k where I live in far Upstate NY, so I think I have plenty of time to decide what to do!
