C100: c100 native editing in Adobe Premiere

A long time fcp user considering switching to Adobe Premiere. Is it possible to edit files from c100 native in Adobe Premiere? I´m tired of converting to prores ;)

Absolutely...I do it all the time. You have to import via Media Browser, modify the file(s) to progressive scan and I also set my audio to mono. It works gr8 with CS6.

Way faster than transcoding. Get to know Prelude. You can basically go through your media card and get rid of the bad takes then create a new card without transcoding and it keeps the file system. Very cool. If you shoot two different projects on one card then you can split it up again keeping it native. This way the files are smaller than ProRes as well.

Wow. Thank you very much. I get "my" c100 in a couple of days and look forward to shifting workflow. It looks much better than fcp 7.

Modify the files to progressive...??? Dropping the files in a progressive timeline isn't the right way to do it?

All I know is how I do it. It ain't broke so I don't try to fix it. :-)

...and "yes" to the OP...It's virtually instant but CS6 takes a little time to conform the files to the timeline. Nothing like the time transcoding takes though.
