C100: C100 mkII and BM Video Assist FPS

I have a real pickle. The BM Video Assist seems to not be changing frame rates with the my camera. The frame rate on the BMVA always says 59.94 even if the camera is set to 23.97. The even more confusing thing is that when I dumped the files after effects says they are all at 29.97.

I guess I now understand that the VA doesn't pulledown the fps like the ninja does, but I am still lost how it ended up being 29.97

You shot at 24p and the VA records interlaced, you have to do a pull down in post.

Could someone do a workflow explanation on this? Which settings from each device (cam, recorder, computer)..? Navjeep from Adobe support says there's no way to do a pulldown (or reverse pulldown). He recommended using Anti-flicker filter..
