C100: C100 Missing Frames Between Split Files

Recently I noticed that, when splitting files (due to size) my C100 is dropping 1-2 frames in between the files. I'm using a 32GB 95mb/sec Sandisk card and don't recall having this problem before.

Anyone else having this problem? Any solutions?

Thanks.

you should use the data import utility that came with your camera. this will fix split-files without frame loss

So, I've searched everywhere and can't find the disc that came with the camera. And, the sites that purportedly has the software only lets you download the updater, but requires Version 1 to be already installed.

Anyone know where to get Version 1 of the data import utility?

found the following on the canon forum maybe it's a workaround????

So I found a simple work around. I was having dificualty only downloading the VIDEO files, with no AUDIO becuase they are stored in 2 separt folders when recorded to the SD card from the c100. All you need to do is

sd > card reader > computer > [open folder via my computer]

EOS CANON C100 > PRIVATE > AVCHD > BDMV > STREAM (video files)
> CLIPINF (enables audio files to be interpreted in NLE's)

****STREAM (contains video file copy them to a new folder on your hard drive. Then the tricky part, also open the folder CLIPINF this folder holds files with the extension .CPI select all those and copy into the same folder you created for the video files. Then simply import the video files into a NLE's such as Premier Pro then your good to go!

Took me about an hour of frustration then I went back and just opened all the folders. Trial and error = Knowledge!

Enjoy hope this helps

Thanks. What I'd like to do is to important the full (non-split) file directly onto my hard drive. I then use Plural Eyes standalone (there's no plugin for Edius) to sync with other cameras.

I sent a note to Canon. No reply yet.

Could you try the following:

1 copy whole private folder to harddisk.
2. import whole folder into edius. (I don't know if edius has the option to import a folder?? adobe does have that function.)
