Hi guys,
Just wanted to share something with you that I have been trying out and that works well.
Theres been many attempts to get a working viewfinder solution, first I added an eyecup to the existing viewfinder http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?320637-Existing-C100-viewfinder-eyecup&highlight=
But it could only do so much when the viewfinder is crap to begin with.
I next spotted this post by HDWarrior http://www.hdwarrior.co.uk/2012/12/30/canon-c100-with-hoodman-loupe-and-4-hood-riser/
An interesting solution, however the hoodman optical assembly is pretty pants. After this i saw the Zacuto C100 Zfinder, but for the cost of it and the quality of the C100 LCD, money would be better spent on an EVF.
So here is what I have created with the components list, mostly I got lucky with ebay and bagged better optics for my unit:

- 3.0 inch Kinotehnik Loupe (Got it for a bargain price on ebay of £20, if you dont want to buy one new full price, this would be an lower cost, lower quality alternative (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LCD-Viewf...raphy_Viewfinders_Eyecups&hash=item1c20110e45)
- This black velcro, 10mm in size - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Velcro-Se...op-Black-or-White-10mm-or-20mm-/371071303040?
- Hoodman hoodriser (got mine for 99p on ebay!)
- Hoodman HCAM4 Camcorder mounting strap (Again a bargain at 99p!)
- Black Elastic cord - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171090043...49&var=470275534925&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I lined the inside of the hoodriser with velcro and attached the rest to the outside of the viewfinder housing, carefully i lined them up and had the viewfinder secured inside the hoodriser.
Next I cut a small square from the top right side of the mounting strap as per the HDWarrior guide, then pulled it over the eyecup.
After mounting and securing it to the camera, I measured a length of the Elastic and tied it round the viewfinder, at the other end I tied a loop that fits round the C100 screw like the Zacuto Zfinder. The loop is easily removed and remounted.
As you can see the mounting strap folds over nicely to cover the bottom of the hoodriser when stored.
Been pretty happy with this solution so far and have used it on a few large jobs recently without feeling like it looks like a bad DIY effort, a couple ops asked if it was an existing product.
Hopefully this guide can help a few people that are looking for solutions, feel free to ask me any questions.
