Haven't posted any of my work up here before, but seeing as it's a seasonal film I thought I would pop it up and see if any of you guys enjoyed it.

Im seriously busy with work ATM, freelancing as a camera op and editor in Scotland and with a few personal short film projects currently stuck in either post production or midway through shooting, I decided to shoot a quick palette cleanser. I shot the film over the course of a few hours and edited it within the day.

I shot totally barebones and actually found it to be a very liberating experience. I took out my C100, a tripod (which was rarely used), a RODE NTG-2 and few lenses in my bag, including a Tokina 11-16 and a Samyang 35mm 1.4 CINE. I ended up shooting the entire project on the Samyang in the end.

Theres obviously a few slight issues with the film in terms of one of two shots not quite matching due to changing light and stability due to run and gun. It was all filmed guerrilla, using my girlfriend and my friend who had been involved in writing it. I never took my Ninja Blade with me, so this is just graded AVCHD. I also used the neck strap for the first time ever and an eyecup I made, taken from a cheap LCD viewfinder and combined with a blue star chamois.

Feedback so far has been very positive, but feel free to comment on the video and I'm happy to answer any questions.

Cheers,

Calum

Cheers dude!

Was a long time Final Cut user but switched to Premiere Pro around about the time FCP X came out. Now I use Premiere and a mixture of either magic bullet looks or film convert, depending on what I want to achieve. I just make any additional changes I want with Premieres built in colour correction etc.
