C100: C100 + BlackMagic HyperDeck Shuttle 2

We've got a shuttle, and we like it but it will be better if we can use the REC button of the c100 to start the shuttle...

So is this possible to control the HyperDeck from the C100 through HDMI? The manual says it's possible, but...

I don't think this is possible - the Ninja 2 and Blade works because Atomos and Canon got together and worked out the details. BM and Canon would probably have to do the same.
