C100: C100 Battery Life

Three times now I have left the battery on my camera and when I go to use it the battery is dead. I must admit, the first time I left the camera on, however the other two times I did not. I know how to stop it from happening (take battery off when not it use LOL), I am curious as to what might be causing it. Has anyone else experienced this? I have the fan set to auto, does it come on even if the camera is set to off?

Never had a problem with this. I have two OG Canon batteries and an aftermarket. Phil

If you leave a Li-ion battery on a camera, the camera will slowly discharge the battery. This is common with batteries and cameras such as this and is not an anomaly. Leaving a battery on a camera a short time and then pulling it off to charge or sit at the end of the day will not draw down the battery much. But I would not leave a battery on the camera for long periods of time and then expect to use it.

And no the fan does not come on when the camera is off.
