C100: C100 arriving in a few days, would love some suggestions on rigging it up

Okay, great, good to know. The sigma 24-105 didn't do that as well as I can remember. It was a great lens and I'm bummed to have lost it. The canon 18-135 sounds like a good one to pick up.

Hoping to spend some quality time with the camera today might even read the manual! :)

My Documentary rig !
monopod, Ninja blade on monitor holder w/ wooden camera top plate, handles, rods and shoulder pad from Coollcd, arri baseplate, canon 24-105 and I recently got the Sigma 18-35 1.8 which is just amazing. Used it much more than my old 24-105.

Nice, Coutard. I'd like to rig something up like that down the line for sure. For now I think, mainly for price reasons, I'm going to focus on a monopod/tripod. I know there's a dedicated thread about tripods and the c100 on here, but would everyone agree that it really doesn't make sense to buy a video tripod of less than $800/900? I don't want to cheap out on it because I know it's very important but I don't want to break the bank, either.
