Guys searched but can't find the answer on this...does the C100 trigger a Nanoflash via the HDMI out? I can't get it to work.

Cheers, Chris

Quick update for anyone searching for the same answer: Spoke to Convergent Design and it's not possible. The HDMI controller in the unit is an early one and cannot deal with a record flag or time code.

The tech I spoke to said that the only reason they stopped making the Nanoflash was that Sony stopped making the MPEG2 encoder unit they were using. To do it themselves was going to cost $500k, so they had to stop making the unit.

Cheers.

This is correct.

I used a nanoflash with an Atomos connect HDMI to SDI, and the Canon C100 triggered the Nano no problem. The 422 100mbs long gop looked great !
