I may have a shoot in the near future that will require me to rent a external recorder and the only thing I can rent is the Atomos Shogun Flame as the client wants 422 ProRes.
I've never recorded with an external recorder as my usual clients don't have the need for it so I'll be renting it a day prior to the shoot to test it all out but I'm still wondering if there is something I need to be aware of when connecting them (there will be 2 c100s mk1 and 2 Shogun Flames on the shoot). It would help me not lose time to test the gear out if there are some known problems/hiccups or settings that work better.
Is it pretty straight forward to connect everything and choose to record in 1080/25p (I'm from PAL part of the world) both internally (for backup) and externally to Shogun Flame in 422 ProRes? What about 2:2 pulldown, does the Atomos do it?
