C100: C100 and A-Box?

Is it possible to use Wooden Camera's A-Box for the BMPCC (because it has a 3.5mm jack) on a C100 with out the handle?

Any reason why you couldn't?

It was designed for the RED, and the RED's polarity is opposite of the way most video cameras are wired, IIRC.

Plus the A box isn't that much smaller than the handle itself, so I don't see what it buys you, honestly.

It's not the polarity, it's the fact that RED has a balanced input (with phantom power). Blackmagic also has balanced inputs, the spec sheet says

2 x 1/4” jacks for professional balanced analog audio, switchable between mic and line levels.

so they're likely compatible. RED's pinout from page 177 of the EPIC User Manual is a typical balanced pinout for a balanced TRS-style connection. I'm sure Blackmagic would use the same, but it'd be worth checking if you wanted to use it with that.

For the C300, I'd guess that its 3.5mm microphone input is a stereo, unbalanced input like you'll find on all DSLRs. I'd guess it wouldn't be compatible without a patch cable to correct the wiring.
