Hi Everyone,

I currently have the c100 and love it. I have noticed however that there are a few videos online that show people getting usable slowmo from the 60i mode from the camera. However I am not able to do this for some reason.

Whenever I do try to bring the 60i AVCHD footage into fcpx or post conversion using ClipWrap/5DtoRGB, I keep getting 29.97 frame rates instead of a converted 60p file to use on a 23.98 timeline. What exactly do i need to do to make this work? Thank you in advance.

You're not going to get a 60p file. You'll get an interlaced 29.97 file that you can then slow down by having each of the interlaced fields become it's own frame.
-you probably already know this, but the way this works is that fields are every other line and interlaced recording records the even lines and then the odd lines so in effect it gets you two 540 line frames squeezed into a single frame. Because they're recorded one after the other they separate really well into smooth slow motion instead of just repeating two identical frames which just makes things look jerky.

Make sure to drop in a 23.98 clip in your timeline first (depending how you have FCPX configured, the first clip you drop in the timeline will determine the framerate) and then drop in the 60i clip. Under the INFO tab, check Deinterlace, Field Dominance Override to UPPER First. Then choose AUTOMATIC SPEED which will slow down your clip to 40%.

Hope this helps!
