C100: C100/300 A7s Match

I know there are a lot of people out here shooting with these two cameras, myself included. I love my C100 but find myself using the a7s increasingly for 4k and HFR.

I would like to be able to match them better. As it is, I always have to do a hard secondary for yellow and blue. The C100 seems to show too much blue in the standard Wide DR, vs my Spyder color chart. The a7s has issues with Cyan and also yellow, which looks more like gold.

I spent a bunch of time this afternoon shooting tests on a chart and skintones in a few lighting conditions, but I just can't seem to get any closer. When I pushed the cameras to match closer on blue, red started to look way off. And the C100 seems to read a bit more green saturation than the a7s.

Most of my tests were with variations of Wide DR on the C100 and Cine2 on the a7s. I get that these are different cameras and will require post correction. I'm just curious if anyone else has had more success or similar problems with these colors. I know the color profile menus pretty well. I don't mind using Canon Log but would prefer to not use S-log2 on a7s as I find it to be too noisy.

Curious to hear what other people are doing...

Perhaps using something like DaVinci Resolve Lite's match color function to create LUTs that could be applied to each cameras footage to make them match closer to your Spyder color chart? If you match both cameras to the same standard, then perhaps they will then match to each other good enough.

This actually worked pretty well. I did a color match with the chart and created a quick LUT with the color correction and a bit of extra contrast on the Wide DR and Cine5 scene files. Now I can drop the LUT in my Shogun while on set or into Premiere when I import. If anyone's interested I can share them.
