C100: c100/300/300 af speed adjustments

dear c users

we've seen, that the new 7dii has the ability to set the af speed.

filming with the af on the c100 is great, but if you push the button in a scene, the autofocus just is too fast
and mechanical in our opinion.

would you think there is a chance, that the c100/300/500 are getting an update to support this, too?
or would you know whom to address at canon to advertise this feature?

or is there any work around (slowing down the lenses)?

At this stage of the product lifecycle I'd say it's unlikely, the last few updates haven't been that interesting for the majority of users.
Though this seems like a simple update: applying a customisable delay in focus processing.

Wouldn't it be great? That and setting the area on screen you'd like to put the focus graticule.

For me, it might change the DPAF feature from being "almost, but no cigar" into something genuinely useful.

Ben.
