C-Mount lens: the hunt begins anew

hummm, could you post some images please !?
I think that's what I'm looking for... some different textures with these cheap lenses

Here you go... I find there is more sharpness if at f1.6 ish...

Yes, that is the 25mm F1.4

It does vignette slightly at 16:9. You can see it in the pics that I posted... It is a pretty cool little lens. I find that I use it mostly when I am doing a portrait up close and especially in low light. It gives a vintage look and is a lot more sharp in the if the person is focused in the center of the frame.

Thanks. That's not too bad as far as vignetting. The 35mm f1.7 is also soft at the edges but it's fine for shallow DOF shots.

Shameless plug I have a set of Kodak cine ektars to let go, a hard to find 25mm f1.4 with 25-to-15mm f1.4 converter and a 63mm f2.

Could someone update which adapter worked with the 25mm f1.4 lens ? There is a range of cmount to m 4/3rd adapters and not all of them work.

Any c-mount adapter *should* work with any cinema c-mount lens. But few c-mount adapters will work with many "security" type lenses. The cinema lenses typically have a narrower-diameter back side that can snuggle down into the adapter, but the security lenses are frequently larger-diameter and can't snug down into the adapter. That means that they don't seat up against the adapter like they're supposed to.

So if you want to use TV/security lenses, you may need a c-mount adapter made specifically for those.

Yes Barry. Thats what I gathered as well. There were 2-3 people who ordered the 25mm f1.4 from ebay (and now I see a 25mm f1.2 there as well). And someone posted a picture. Thats why I was hoping that we could get some info on the type of adapter used.
