I dont know if im doing something wrong please help if possible.

i recently purchased a nikon to micro 4/3 mount and it works perfectly so i have the camera set to shoot w/o lens.

i also purchased a c-mount, but none of my c-mount lenses work.
i get the error "lens is not connected properly" and this is with the camera still set to shoot w/o lens. here is a link to the c-mount adapter i bought on ebay

I think possibly its the adapter.
thanks in advance.

im just bummed cause i got like 900 bucks worth of c-mount lenses

I had that same issue; not sure if that's the same c-mount adapter or not, but I got the same message. I disconnected and reattached the c-mount adapter a few times, no change. Then I tried again, really firmly seating the c-mount adapter, and ... it started working! And has worked ever since.

So -- don't use more force than you're comfortable with, but try firmly seating the c-mount adapter on there and see if it helps.

ivanouchkine,

thanks man but it was a bad adapter i never use the stock lens so im always w/o lens (nikon) but this adapter wont get a solid connection got it to work by like forcing it to one side, but cant do that forever.

Maybe some of you already know this, but I found that the error, "The lens is not attached properly", occurs if the lens release button is depressed, even a little. So, some of these machined adapters must prevent the button from popping all the way to the full out position.

You see the similar message, "Please check that the lens is attached correctly", when you touch the lens release button with the kit lens attached.
