C-100 - HDMI Out - Audio Included?

Can you just hook up an hdmi to a Ninja and get picture and sound; or do you have to use a seperate audio cord or double system sound?
 
...and according to Atomos (they posted a video about this a few weeks ago - see link below) the recorder will start recording picture (and sound) when you press the record button on the C100 and stop like-wise. No need to separately hit record etc. on the Ninja2. Timecode on Ninja2 is same as C100 as outlined at about 3m 30s onwards in the video.

Is that functionality exclusive to the Ninja or will the Hyperdeck shuttle 2 be able to do it too?
 
If you watch the video and in particular where he says they have been working with Canon to impliment SDI type functionality over HDMI for the first time ....then I suspect this is unique with this combination of camera and recorder. But that's really a question someone from Atomos or Blackmagic would need to comment on. I am just excited its possible with a C100 and Ninja2.
