BVrRemote follow focus system

Frank , i just noticed even your avatar has a guy with a cigar! Did VK tell you when they will have the new versions ready?

Hi Stewart.
Jag 35 can bear its function, specially with low frictioned focusing ring DSLR lenses.
I know it for sure as we made some similar prototypes (BTW, the price was 200$):

I'd add simple limit programming system to the JAG 35. In my old prototype i used natural potentiometers limit as MIN. focal distance.
And adjustable limiting ring, that slided over the control handle and fixed position for limiting handles turn at INFINITY focal distance.
(one can use such limits as 2 programmed focusing positions.) They will protect system from hard stops-shakes and motor from been overloaded.
The price was very reasonable for DSLR users,IMAG0773.JPG but we gave up going this way for there are number of limitations about small-servo-based systems in use with large cine lenses.

I do not dare to vocalize another suggestion on motor, but to say: our Nema-hybrid tests went not that good and the next motor prototype we thinking over is BLDC. :o) Vladi

Hi Vlad! Agreed, steppers are useless. We use space-vector commutated bldc (a kind of sinusoidal 3-phase). I warn that there is considerable development involved here :)

Vlad , is it possible to use two motors with your product? if not , is it a future option or upgradable?

Thanks for share! We also about to use bldc for the next prototype. One of ideas is to try BLDC planetary-gearmotor with integrated encoder for the reason to spare on assembling, but this vertical prototype looks all to heavy at the moment.

Wish You a great joy of creation ! :)
