Buying Refurbished lenses?

Do you guys ever buy refurbished lenses? I was thinking about buying a refurbished lens from B&H (reputable) since it costs about $100 less ($550 to $450).

How have your guy's experiences been with refurbished lenses? Is it like new basically?

I have bought many refurb'ed lenses over the years, especially Canon-branded lenses. I'd have no hesitation to do it again.

I have bought Canon-refurbished lenses from Adorama and BH. They're just like new in every aspect. Go for it, you won't notice any difference between new and refurbished.

As long as you get a warranty- there's zero downside. Also used lenses in decent camera shops are also quite often bargains.
