Buying HVX200 - best prices?

checked ebay, found it sealed in box as low as $4,200 or so... Which power seller can be trusted?

BH price = $5,500, big jump in price... So if anyo of you has used one of the ebay people let me know...

Or any other internet stores selling under $5,500.

If you don't buy Panasonic authorized, you are asking for trouble.

We see at least one of these a week.

Specialized Communications is selling a HVX200 with 16 Gb card for under $6K. That's a bargain.
 
i have been looking into buying an HVX for about a month, so let me save you the trouble. do NOT buy one off of ebay. if you want to spend less than $5k, you are going to have to take your chances with a known scammer or else buy a used unit (which can be equally nerve-racking and dangerous if bought on the internet). this is huge investment that will last you many years if you care for it well - spend the $$$.

if you can't afford to pay $5k, wait!
 
the whole ebay "sealed box" thing is a warning sign of a possible EMPTY BOX.

the box being sealed doesnt add any value as far as im concerned. id rather it had been taken out and tested. i also wouldnt buy a camera on ebay unless i knew that the seller was a shooter. why would just some joe-schmoe on the street have an hvx to sell in the first place? did he win it in a contest? does he have a rich girlfriend? or did he steal it? or does he even really HAVE IT at all?

i mean MAYBE the guy wanted to start shooting video then realised that it was too expensive or he ran into money trouble - but id imagine in any legit scenario they would have been excited enough to have opened the box?

just tooooooo many variables there and $4000+ is tooooo many dollars to roll the dice on being scammed
