Buying HVX 200

New here. I'm interested in buying a Panasonic hvx 200. My questions are:

Whats the best place to buy one? Internet? Retail store? and where?

I know it's a lot but any little advice would be greatly appreciated.

Evs

I bought mine from EVS and I have never been happier. They even helped me set up financing with Panasonic ($350 a month sits a lot better than thousands up front), and when my firestore broke and had to be sent in for repairs, they sent me a loaner, for free!

I love evs. Call and ask for Tommy Mack, he fuc.king rocks.
 
In addition to the others mentioned (except for BH, they're Customer Service can be a nightmare) take a look at Full Compass. They do a great job and have good prices. Talk to Shawn Tallard. He'll take good care of you.
 
ablecine is another great option. I've only purchased a few items from them but it's been a good experience. But, I can say the same thing about B&H, Zacuto and Spec Comm.

Thanks everyone. I'm familiar with B&H customer service and I completely agree. Spec-Comm looks great but I'm in New York City. I like to be close to the folks I buy this kind of hardware from, but I'll keep you guys in mind in the future.

I can't say if this is a scam or not......but you know what they say, "If it's too good to be true, it usually is".


If some place is selling a brand new HVX for the price that the DVX is going for, well...."If it's too good to........."
 
Well, I dealt with Abel Cine in New York on the phone this morning and they were very nice, and very helpful. I wish my bank had that kind of customer service!

Omega Broadcast out of Austin Texas was great. I live in Canada and they had the best prices and customer service. Highly recommend. Talk to Danielle.
 
I have had great experiences with Spec-Comm and Abel Cine in New York. B&H has been OK, but not as positive as with the other two.

I purchased my camera and one 16gb card from Spec-Comm. Great service and quickly answered my dumb "why does it click" question. When I purchased my camera the cards were in short supply. So I had a camera with no card. So I got one from AbelCine, one from Zacuto and about 3 weeks later, my last card from Spec-Comm. All three had great service.

I bought a HVX200 on Spec-Comm on Monday. So far the phone service was very helpful and its shipped fast. Will let you know how it works out
