Ok I am going to buy an HMC150 but im debating on buying it used or not. My question is how many hours of run-time is considered too much. Im not to familar of the overall camera lifespan at all and before I buy one used, I need to know what happens when a camera has too many hours on it?
The one im looking at is $2500 with over 100 hours on it.

Since the HMC doesn't have a tape drive, it's lifespan is far greater than machines with moving parts and tape decks.

Personally, I think that 2500 sounds reasonable (as long as it's good condition)

If you havent yet bought - then BH Photo is selling brand new HMC155 (asian import models - identical to US models (60Hz)) for $2754, 90 days warranty.

The US model has a 3 year limited warranty though...

2500 isn't a bad price, but you are saving only 25 percent on the item without the new camera experience.. the new camera smell... all that. I'd say haggle with the guy... in this economy you might be able to get it for 2300 or something less. I'd go low in the beginning and see what he does.
