I'm from Canada and I order all my stuff primarily from Adorama Camera (US retailer): http://www.adorama.com/

Things here are pretty expensive, but Vistek is a popular store in Toronto (not sure if there's a location in Quebec though): http://vistek.ca/

can anyone give me some references about Camera Canada ( http://www.cameracanada.com/ ). Are they well know in Canada, are they good and trusty online shop ??

thanks

not sure about Camera Canada. I got my t2i here: http://www.adencamera.com without any issue. Henry's (http://www.henrys.ca) is reputable, but usually a bit more expensive.

If your friend is in Montreal check out http://www.lozeau.com/en-CA/ I also deal with Vistek but the closest one to Montreal is in Ottawa and they are not as Video oriented as Toronto. They deal more with still photogs who work on the "Hill" the parliament of Canada. If your friend is not in a hurry and mind you they are fast, you can just buy from BH in New York and have it shipped to Quebec. BH deals with the duty and brokerage and puts it on the bill and delivers super fast. The Canadian dollar is very strong these days so it could be worth your time.

I've heard for all of those shops (vistek, lozeau, anden camera,..) but the only problem with all of those is payment. I have already ordered at vistek but oreder was canceled because they doesnt support different addresses between billing and shipping address . In my case credit card is located in Europe (me) and shipping address in Quebec.

After reading payment-shipping FAQ's at all of those shops I think Canada Camera is the only one that support different addresses. Some of them only ships to billing address, some of theme only to verified Pay Pal addresses and so on... so Canada Camera is at that point only solution I just want to check if they are trusty.

Can you send your friend a cheque or money-order and have him buy the camera for you?

Well they may be legit, but I suggest you google map and google photo the street and store first. I just did and I would be concerned if I were you since no one here is jumping into say they have dealt with them. Perhaps you should consult the Chamber of Commerce in London Ontario or the Better Business Bureau first.
