burning dvd on fcp

Im burning hd dvd using on dvd studio pro, Why can i not view the output of that dvd on my dvd player but i can view it on my apple mac.

Im burning hd dvd on on a normal dvd disk, the resolution of the footage is 720p

To play a HD DVD on a set top, you need a HD DVD set top player. Regular DVDs play SD DVDS.

Only Toshiba makes a HD DVD player.
