GH2 Bulb mode and aperture adjustment on Panasonic GH2

Hello! I've had my GH2 for a week now, but I still can't find where the bulb mode is. I assumed I'll get to it when I adjust the shutter (like in the canon cameras) but 60 seconds is the last value, not bulb. How do I access this bulb mode?

And here's another easy question to answer: How do I adjust the aperture in manual setting? I'm using the 14-140mm lens. When I turn the dial, only the shutter can be adjusted and I don't know how to go to the aperture part. To work around it, I set the aperture first at Aperture priority mode and then go back to Manual mode, but this can be quite inconvenient. I'd like to switch from changing the shutter and changing the aperture without switching to another mode. Hope someone can help a Gh2 newbie like me! Thank you!

60 is Bulb in Manual Exposure Mode (get a pdf version of the manual so you can use "Find")

In Manual mode use the rear wheel click and rotate to change Aperture, Shutter, Exposure in sequence

Welcome! Perhaps a silly question, but have you read the manual in the week that you've had the GH2? Not meant to be sarcastic, but both answers are pretty clearly described within a page of each other.

60 seconds is just the longest shutter opening in standard mode. Bulb mode has a duration up to 120 seconds, but I'm damned if I can find it. And yes, I have read the manual.

Ah, figured it out. You have to have the remote plugged in and then that allows the shutter speed to be set to bulb (B).

My bulb mode has been sucked into oblivion, I want it back on my G2!

I have read my manual, searched bulb mode on pdfs... best to search "" so as not to read about flash, but the bulb mode... I know what it is. the book and pdf's tell me what it is... but how to access it is completely absent. I have not plugged anything into the remote shutter, but pointing the cam into the night sky, I found and used it in manual mode. the following day, turning it back on, it was just gone. a "B" was indicated in the ss scroll bar the night before, and it's just not there anymore! I'll have to see if it can be activated in menus, because it's deactivated somehow now. any idea what menu turns on the bulb shutter feature? don't bother with the manual... seriously. google doesn't know either, but you can find lots of reviews!

ok, just as the flash is not an option in some scene modes, the bulb mode is absent in certain drive modes. located to the forward right of the mode dial is the drive mode lever that dictates single, multi shutter, bracketing etc... the bulb mode is accessible when the drive mode lever is set to single shot, the SS adjustment is selected in the quick menu or by pressing the thumb dial and scrolling past the 60 second selection, to "b".

and the shooting mode is set to M

Anyone know the minimum exposure time in bulb? 120 sec is max. I'm going to use a bulb ramper intervolometer for time lapse and can't find the shortest a bulb exposure can be triggered. Canons are 1/10 sec
