I have an interesting workflow situation and am looking for help.
Start off with the HDV footage from the XHA1.
One computer at school (Intel Mac Pro) with 500GB HD and FCP 5 for editing.
Second personal PC with After Effects for compositing/finishing.
Final output to DVD.
What is the best way to work this, allowing for portability from school to home, and giving optimal final quality?
Although I don't own an external hard drive I could get one, but that only gives me a transportation mechanism. What codec/export process is best? Also, I prefer not to edit in HDV.
