C300: buffer overrun issues on several cards

I have the C300M2 and work with it with pleasure, however I have had 2 CFast card issues allready, where as I never had this before on any other camera. it started with a 256Gb CFast that wasn't on the 'approved by canon' list, it was the 3400x Lexar card, it was totally unusable and it made me olse a day's work. Since then I only use the cards on the list, but it has happened again with a 128GB Sandisk card.

Am I the only one or do more people have had issues?

I haven't had any issues. I use 256GB Lexar 3500x cards.

I also always use the Proxy SD card recording as a backup. The quality of the proxy is good enough that for many shoots if the CFast got corrupted you could use the Proxy files without having to re-shoot everything.

I'd report the problem to Canon if you're having the problem on an approved card, too. Sometimes card manufacturers change something in the manufacturing process down the road after the equipment manufacturer has vetted a particular card and it causes problems. I've seen companies retract approval on media before when issues started to arise and they were able to verify it.

Hey lealain. I'm running the camera through various setting/tests/workflows before shooting critical footage. If you share settings, I can try to recreate.
