GH3 Budget lenses for Gh3

I am on a tight budget. I am not a film maker. I primarily shoot documentaries for environmentalists. I need a long zoom for wildlife, something for scenery, and interviews outside and inside. My budget for lenses would be about $1,400.

Help me spend my money. Filmic shots are nice but not a priority.

Thank you for your insight and help.

Lumix 14mm f2.5 for wide stuff - as low as $199 used but very good on amazon (I'd move quick on that one). A bit over $200 from amazon wharehouse. Very good wide angle performer - 28mm equiv.

Lumix 20mm f1.7 for wide normal - as low as $322 used like new. Again from amazon. Excellent optical performer.

Olympus 45mm f1.8 portrait telephoto - as low as $324 used like new. Amazon. Much sought after for its IQ even wide open.

Lumix 45-200 f4 - f5.6 for wildlife - $230 used like new from amazon wharehouse.

l've stayed within your budget, under $1100 yet all is quality glass. I have all of the above and have no complaints. In addition to what is listed above, I have the Olympus 75mm f1.8 ($899) and the Panasonic Leica 25mm DG Summilux f1.4 ($529 new or less used). I also have the older Lumix 14-45mm "kit" lens which is still available at around $299 new to as low as $250 used.

I've shopped amazon for a lot of my m4/3 lenses including the amazon wharehouse and always got a fair square deal.

You could try and squeeze in a Panny 100-300 somewhere. I sold mine as I didn't use it enough but it was an excellent long lens. With ETC enabled and 4X zoom it had some ridiculous focal length at full stretch like 1600mm.

Definitely recommend 100-300 for wildlife, 200mm is not really enough to be honest, should cost less than $500 so still within your budget

Save your $1400 for a REAL budget soloution you want canon FD manual lenses, you can pick em up really cheap on ebay.. they are fully manual wich is what you want, and they are a very high quality, to start, get a 50mm 1:8 or 1.4 if you can afford it..i paid £40 for my 1.4. then get a wide anle, like a 28mm canon..as for a long lens , i got a 100-300mm canon for £50 in MINT condition.. all you need is an FD to M43 adaptor to use these lenses.. about £20
i have the panasonic vario g 14-140mm i got with the camera.. its a £500 lens.. so far.. i havnt used it !
