Budget Hip-Hop Video (550D)

My second music video shot for a alt. hip-hop duo near where I live. Some stuff was shot in a studio with a somehwat large rig setup while a lot of the location stuff (inside shops etc) was shot with just the camera in my hand. This was to make it easier for people to let us film inside shops but also because a lot of the shooting was done spur of the moment when I would bring my camera just in case.

The 3rd verse and most of the walking tracking shots were done with the 550D screwed onto a rode boom pole. For the 3rd verse where they are on their phones I had them hold the boom at arms length with a 28mm lens and talk on the phone with their other hand. I think it worked rather well!

Quite low budget and has some issues but overall I'm quite pleased and think it fits the track quite nicely.

Of course watch in HD!

Looks nice!

Wish there was more of story. Seems like a lot of random shots and locations that don't quite fit together.

For handheld and a simple rig, good job.

Maybe consider some color-grading to add some edge to the final image. Would cost you nothing, but would go a long way to up the professionalism of what you've already shot.
