“A human being is only breath and shadow.” – Sophocles
This quote from Sophocles inspired me to shoot this short film.
It was a really nice experience to work with Canon C100. I pushed the ISO up to 4000
because i wanted to see how much noise will be generated.
Of course there is some grain in the picture but the low light ability of the Canon C100
is still amazing.
Working with the Compact Prime Lenses was uncomplicated. The Magnifier Button, which operates also during
recording is an amazing tool.
The form factor of the C100 is very handy and you are able to make your shots in a quick and comfortable way.

Nice work. Very moody and would make a nice opening sequence for the start of a neo-noir.

Beautiful. The last few shots, where the piece becomes more explicit and less abstract in preparation for a final a-ha moment, were a bit deflating and less interesting to me. I say if you're going to do dark and moody and abstract, go all out. I think the sense of some kind of uncanny fringe of an urban space is clear enough even without the last shots.

Nice moody evocative film that keeps to one clean aesthetic. A good piece to show off the C300.

I checked out your other video on camera sliders and loved the simple but brilliant idea of using a Manfrotto Small Hydrostat Arm to get more interesting camera angles. Never thought of that. Thanks.

Hi Raz,

Thanks for your response. I love to work in a simple way. So you can focus yourself on the really important things :-)

Love it, love the use of light and shadow. Camera looks great of course. Of course there's not much of a story here, which bothers me (I see a billion of these kinds of things and skip right past them)... BUT it could be a fantastic opening to a narrative of some sort. Clearly you have talent.
