Brightness difference?

Hey all.

Whenever I shuttle through the timeline with the playhead/mouse, the playback monitor is a little darker and more contrasty then the footage actually is, but when I play it back in realtime (hit the play button or spacebar), it has the correct contrast and such.

How can I get it to look right the whole time?

This is caused by the hardware overlay acceleration of certain unsupported nvidia videocards. I had the same problem with an 8800 GTS. The only solution is to eyeball the settings in the nvidia control panel by adjusting the overlay brightness, contrast, etc... It's not perfect but the only solution if you aren't using a quadro or 7 series card.
