Breaking Bad

I just saw a documentary on the BTK killer, and Bryan Cranston with his mustache is a dead ringer for Dennis Rader.

I've always thought Stacey Keach (American History X) had an uncanny resemblance to BTK.

...Too much showy camera work from Rian that seemed out of character with the rest of the show, though. It's what often happens when you have guest directors on TV shows.

I suppose guest directors are expected to contribute something special, but usually that means changing a "voice" the show developed.

T They did a "ship-in a bottle", what they call an episode in series TV that takes place with few actors on one set, usually done so they can conserve their budget for later episodes. Still, lesser Breaking Bad is better than most shows, and the suspense when Walt was fading, telling Jesse about the night Jane died, and hoping he doesn't spill the beans was pretty intense and redeemed the episode.

Interesting concept, and I would have to agree. Now the LAST episode I saw was absolutely great. I can't get enough of this Saul Goodman character. "He has the same taste in women as he has in lawyers." And now Skyler is getting in on the action?

This is getting good, but I don't think there are many episodes left.

Hadn't heard that term.
Whats the old joke about a writer pitching a late season episode premise when the moneys running out.
Producer:"Whats the show about"
writer:"Half your usual budget"
Producer:"Sold".

Hooolleeeee sheeeeeeeit!!!!!
Walter and Jessie gots lottsa 'splaining to do!!
Oh my fooking god, what an episode!!!
You're all right! :shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked::shocked:

This could easily have been the finale episode, WTF is going to happen next week?

As far as plot plausibility goes, I think they just crossed the line....Walt as a straight-up murderer? He's come a long way in character development since the first season.

I had to rewind that s**t......the one dude got CRUSHED under the Aztek. Killer!

As far as cinematography goes, this may have been my favorite episode. Excellent lighting on the faces in all conversation scenes, like in the bar. I believe the DP is Michael Slovis?

In an interview, Vince Gilligan said one of his goals over the course of the series was to take an average, decent man and turn him into Scarface by the end, to see if he could pull it off.

My brother and I are both big fans of Breaking Bad, and after the last episode where theorizing that Walt will kill Gus and end up running the meth cartel operations, as Heisenberg of course.

Sounds like maybe we are on the right track.

All. Hail. Heisenberg.

As amazing as this show is, I am actually AMAZED at how great that ep was. From the speech by the PI (No more half measures) to the peace-making scene (where I realized I had been holding my breath) to the climax. Man, oh man. Even in the Hank episode, they had one scene that blew your mind. This whole ep blew my mind. Just cannot believe the level of work these people do...

I don't think Walt drove there to kill anyone. He went to stop Jesse and quickly assessed the situation and made a last-minute decision to save his impulsive partner. His only other options were to somehow get Jesse in the car (suicidal) or to stay uninvolved (and allow Jesse to die). Finishing one of them off with a bullet to the head was self-preservation at that point.

I guess I'm among the minority who don't want Walt to harden...

Dude, I was hooked at the first music montage. "Wendy", how great was that. I Googled the actress playing "Wendy", Julia Minesci and it looks like she is a New Mexico local without much prior experience. She did a great job. What a great show.

Oh yeah, agreed, but my point is that he's gone from a mild-mannered chemistry teacher to someone who is capable of shooting a person execution style.....it's quite the transformation.

Something tells me anyone who's taught High School has probably thought about murdering someone at some point.

Just speculatin', but I would not be surprised if Skylar was the new Gus! I think she has the taste for it now, and is more hard hearted than Walt ever was.
