GH2 Brand new GH2 won't take hack

Got a new GH2 direct from Panasonic two days ago. I've tried several cards but it won't take a hack version. It will only recognize official Panasonic bin file. Body Version is 1.0. Anybody else having this problem?

Is this your first time using the Hack?

The hack may be applied, but the camera doesn't show a different number.
However, if you look at the filesizes and footage, you'll see a huge difference versus the stock,
especially if using 176 GOP 1 hack (about 1GB/minute maximum)

Did you try recording and analysing footage?

Hello, No I've successfully applied the hack to the GH1 before with no problems. The camera won't recognize the bin file, just says "no valid picture to play". Original bin file is <GH2__V10.bin> and 176 GOP file is <GH2__V11.bin> so I think that's right. Is it?

I never changed the name of the file. I only check the version increment in pTool.
Try with GH2__V10.bin as name and make sure the increment is checked in your hack.

needs to be the exact same name so just rename it. i have noticed the same thing going from gh1 to gh2

Yes, the name is correct. This is a long shot ... it's possible your bin file is being corrupted when it's being generated. Try running Ptools from a physically different hard drive and generate a new bin file. Then copy that bin file to your SD card and try again.

OK folks, I finally got it! Camera wouldn't hack due to defective operator. Must not attempt to operate camera while drinking Foolish Jooce. I never ran the GH2__V10.bin hack file. I would say duh but it's so cliche. Smooth sailing. Thanks everybody.

Whew, I'm glad everything worked out. You might want to rename the thread title so that other people don't accidentally have a heart attack.

So do I. The last one was GH2_v14.bin. No problems that I know of.
