Boxing Day Savings on Lexar 32GB Class 4 SDHC cards

OK.

That was kind of a long title. Sorry. :)

Got off night shift and hit my local Walmart (Canada).

They had the Lexar 32GB Platinum II Class 4 cards for $100 CDN.

Helluva price. I picked up one and might go back and get another on the way to work tonight.

Would have preferred the 16GB but they were out. I'm still a little paranoid of putting 4 hours of footage on one card.

Not sure if my American friends will find the same deal but one can hope.

*EDIT* Heh, I was so excited about my deal that I should have checked USD prices. B&H has it for $98 but it's backordered.

Still. I think it's a pretty good deal. And they claim a write speed of 9MB which is more than enough for our GH1. :)

sincerely,

ian

That's only $95.22 USD, as far as I can figure. You can get a 32gb Sandisk Ultra from Newegg for only $86.99 USD ($91.34 CAD)....free shipping (not sure about shipping to Canada). http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820171359&Tpk=sandisk%2032gb%20sdhc

Then you won't have to worry as much about having 4 hours of video on a card....since it will be a Sandisk. ;) I have three of them, which I've been using at quite a few weddings for a while now in my GH1. I've quit using other brands in my GH1, since my work is on the line.

In canada The Great Canadian Superstore has PC brand Class 6 4GB Cards for 10 bucks, which would only be 80 bucks for the equivalent 32GB storage... they are great little cards and super trustworthy, using them with no problem all along!

Hey swyz,

Thanks for the heads up on the Sandisk cards.
Just checked Newegg Canada and they have the same card for $88 CDN!

Damn! That's even better than what I paid for the Lexar.

I'll have to try them.

sincerely,

ian
