Boom Pole??

Wondering if anyone has experience with this? I was going to make one myself, but given that this one is <$50 for 7 foot pole, I figured I'd give it a try.

Also, does anyone have any thoughts on DIY boom poles that might be cheaper or work better?

Telescoping painter's pole with a hanger's bolt screwed in is definitely cheaper, can't say whether it'll work as well.

Yeah, that's what I was wanting to make but neither of the hardware stores around me had the correct size hanger bolt I needed.
