Boom Mic Not Working on DVX 100A

Hey guys; this is a question for the experts. So I have a DVX100a and recently purchased a Rode microphone for it. I've hooked it up, triple checked every setting was accurate, yet it does not seem to to work. I then tested it with a friend's microphone and it still did not seem to function, only very quietly. The volume is turned up, all inputs are set to the appropriate position and I have used XLR cables for it, yet nothing.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and, if you have, would you mind sharing how it was fixed?

Thank you.

The obvious things to check are that 48V phantom power is turned on, inputs set to mic and that your XLR to XLR cable is wired 1-1, 2-2 and 3-3 and has not been modified to work unbalanced by shorting 2 or 3 to 1?

Everything that paulears said, plus make sure your Ch1 Select switch is set to Input1 and your Ch2 Select switch is set to Input2 (or both set to Input2 if you're only using Input2).

Most likely, your problem is caused by having the Input switches set to line instead of mic, or you didn't turn on the phantom power.

Hey, thank you so much. Dumb question: Can you tell me where I can find the 48V Phantom Power? I saw this in another forum and could not locate on the camera itself. Everything else was checked appropriately. Thank you.

On the side of the camera, covered with then LCD screen is folded in, are your audio routing and +48v (phantom power) selector switches.
