I'm just playing around with the footage from my XF100. It's at this pricepoint, has a fairly decent codec that stands up to grading, and is the ultimate run and gun. It just works.
I think you are in the wrong thread.

They already went back on this, saying that production models are unlikely to appear until 2013.Well - after Red pretty much trashed our hopes, I haven't gotten my hopes too high. I am willing to keep an open mind however. By October or so, we'll see if they have production volumes on this camera, what kinds of things people can do with it, and what it will cost. Assuming it actually comes to market.
I hope they're successful.
Let's see what the BMD's rolling shutter looks like, vs. the global shutter CCD of the DigiBolex.
Why, presumably because you think the DBolex will never be released? Let's not be negative nancies.I'd be willing to bet you'll never be able to make that comparison.
so best of luck to the DBolex guys, I hope they are successful.
My gut was they were 'dead dream waking' well before the BMD announcement ...

Didn't they come out and say no cameras until 2013 already?
